Unfortunately the DirtMaster is dead.

Damn, that's too bad! You gave me my first rallyx ride in the DirtMaster, and I appreciated it.

Here's a good start for your next rallyx car:

http://grassrootsmotorsports.com/articles/dirty-dozen/

I'm partial to trying an old Saturn. I owned the Saturn depicted in the article and it ran for 180,000 with no problems before I sold it for $800. My impression is they're undervalued at the prices the old ones are going for.

you cant beat an old SE-R sentra. time and time again they rank very well in motor sports. cheap/reliable car. even when you beat the crap out of it.

The only problem is it's well known as a performance car so the prices would presumably be higher. This month's Grassroots Motorsports says that Type Rs in good condition are still going for $12K-$17K, and even ones with problems are in the $10K range, not exactly beater territory.

thats true.

get a base sentra and put an SR20 motor like the SERs have (SR20 right?)..

thats kind of like putting a dual cam swap into a civic, minus the LSD.

Type Rs are Integras, a different car. Nissan made a newer model they also called the SE-R, maybe that's what you're thinking of. Anyway you don't want that either. You should be able to get a really nice early 90s SE-R (the kind you want) for less than $3k, and you don't even need (or want) a nice one. I paid $1000 for mine, and I think that was probably too much.

Opps, you're right, different cars.
