It was a good meeting tonight with a big turnout of our rallyx members, which is fantastic. One of the suggestions that came up at the meeting was finding a way for drivers who are just getting their feet wet with rallyx to hook up with drivers who are willing to let people co-drive their car.

Certainly no one is under any obligation to offer co-drives, and certainly not for free, but if you are open to having other drivers compete using your car this may be a way to get some new people excited about the rallyx program that otherwise might not participate.

Definately if you have been thinking about coming out to a rallyx and have not because you don't have a car that you feel comfortable running on dirt, post here, and those who have vehicles and are willing to take on a co-driver, please post also. Hopefully this can help generate some more participation in future rallycrosses!

I think in the early days of the program some of the club members might have tried out rallycross by renting a car for a day. I'm not condoning this practice, but this might be an option for those too nervous to use a daily driver. (Just don't ask Enterprise to pick you up at the rallycross site.)

That sounds crazy. Who would do such a thing? Make sure you get all the insurance.....it covers things such as someone running you off the road resulting in a bent rim....and things like that.
