motorspotreg sounds like a good idea.
I dont understand why advertising is a bad idea. I always thought advertising was a good thing. Maybe done over a more appropriate median than newspaper/radio.
Please help me understand why not telling people who dont know about our rallyX events is a bad idea. Im not trying to fight or argue here, i just want to understand.
well again this my opinion only.
i think the desire is to attract individuals that will respect the rules of the event and the property hosting said event. the "Fast & Frivolous" types are generally younger and dare I say unruly.
given the speed and roll-over potential of a RallyX we try to avoid putting the event out to the general public to avoid Soccer Moms who need a new cause from deeming us unsafe to society should their unsupervised young adult wreck Mom's Subaru.
and last but not least, we don't want the local law enforcement officials waiting outside our events pulling people for who knows what.
anyone other than me remember the Southern Pines Roadblock?

enthusiasts have a way of finding our events. we probably should keep it that way.
the opinions voiced here are by no means the opinions of THSCC or its Affiliates
I do understand and agree with the above, However, I have been part of differnet groups that tend to self regulate. I used to ride with a group of non wheely popping motorcyclest. every now and then, someone would join our goup, and brag about how they ran from the cops, or how they ran a wheeling down I85 for 9 miles with 3 cops following them at 120 MPH blah blah blah. Those people tend to not stay around long, and though a black mark on the motorcycle world, they choose on their own to not hang out with the responsible crowd.
As far as mom's suburu getting rolled. Maybe we should do a better job of making sure everyone is atleast 18 and leagly allowed to sign a contract stating they enter at their own risk. Do we ever do an actual license check at ANY of the events? I dont think I have ever seen one.
Thanks for explaining your thought process, I think it makes since... but I also believe that the unrullie people will weed themselfs out very quickly when surrounded by as many higher moral people as our group has.
