Great event today! 2 really fast and fun courses, and a full spectrum of conditions from slick to sweet to a little dusty by afternoon. And really beautiful weather. Thanks to Charlie and Pete for chairing the event, for Chris and Ash for pulling it together, and everyone else who made it happen!

I agree. Thanks all! I had a great time.

The Audi only needs a few small things fixed before Sept 5th at BMW Farm.

Make sure to pre-register for the 5th, so that we'll hit the 25 minimum to hold the event.

The afternoon course was FAST and open. I think I liked the muddy morning course better. :)

Here are a few cell phone videos of my afternoon runs. Jeremy Gast's Forester is included in the 4th one. You can see that a slick spot remained on the track even in the afternoon, after the second pass through the crossover.

The secret to exiting the afternoon crossover on the 2nd pass was to turn really early!

Sorry guys, but I had to leave before the trophies were handed out. 3rd place overall in a 1WD car with 71HP and over 1000 runs, ain't too bad if I do say so myself. Gotta love the General Lei!

Take a look at that body roll! Did I almost roll my car?

The only reason for my 3rd place finish was the first heat in the muck, which was just like the high school fun I had in Ohio doing donuts in empty frozen parking lots in an 8 cylinder Ford LTD station wagon.

The dry heat, however was a different story... Oh well, maybe with a little practice 4WD SOT will dominated by Foresters :-)

That was certainly different than what I was used to. Very fun, but very different. Thanks to Chris and Keith for letting me drive the moo-mobile, it was certainly a handful. I started to get it a bit more in the afternoon, I was kind of overwhelmed in the morning session, turning WAY too late. I liked that I got to experience a lot of different conditions too. I was definitely better when there was more grip, but I think I learned more in the morning session in the slop. It was truly eye opening.

Sorry to the course workers who I scared on my first run in the morning.

You misunderstand: I did better in the muck, and wouldn't have trophies if it had been all dry.

You are right! I totally got that backwards from reading it. Was just poking fun anyway. :)

i think we got two more rallycrossers, out of last weekends events. even if they were driving a car that ran out of gas a few times! the morning, i was driving poorly. too many 360s in my wrx the day b4.. that was too much fun, was'nt it micheal? anyway. the afternoon was great great.. i am VERY glad you all liked the course design.. i even made a successes-full dry run b4 y'all showed up.. in our f250 2wd.haha. even in the muck.. with a huge ground clearence advantage over the toyota, whom i was following, and massive torque, the turbo was not that peaky, dont worry, i went slow.. but it was still funny. i only had to realllly slow down for was the slalom.. four door truck with a 6 foot bed and huge ground clearence, not meant for slaloms. Yes, my father got it stuck when.. he stopped it in the mud.. to drop off some cones, which we were packing in the bed.. and it sank because it weighs around 3 tonnes.. haah.. we need to fix the bumper, but it is ok other than that. good times.. thank you for the dnf recall.. i was sooooooooooo bummed about that.

I was checking the race results from Aug., and noticed both Foresters came in ahead of this really fast looking car:

Hey, I don't know anything about driving, so the most obvious conclusion is that stickers must slow the car down :-) Or maybe its that plane part that's glued to the trunk is too heavy?
