Did the course seem smoother after being mowed so close? It looked like it might be, but I didn't drive on it after. If so, we can open up some of the tighter bits to cut down on rutting...

It was very smooth after the mowing. I think it would be a lot less rutted (and a little more fun) if the corners weren't so tight. I was actually staying in 1st gear through the whole course! I timed a counterclockwise run (not trying to go super-duper fast or anything, but just novice speed), and it was around 80 seconds.

Should I locate something to drag behind the tractor (or somebody's truck) that we can use to smooth the course periodically during the rallyx, or are we not going to worry about it?

Also, I suggested to my mom that before we start the rallyx on Saturday, she should take a lap as the "course sweeper" so I could get some pics. Kindof like a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Then, when she gets to the finish, we could be waiting there to present her with the gift from the club (flowers). Sound good?

That's too tight- we should be able to easily open up most of it just by making offsets less severe. I'm glad to hear the mowing helped though!

If you can find something, that'd be great, but I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Yeah, that's a nice idea.
