Hello everyone,
Due to predictions of copious amount of rain Friday night and likely Saturday morning, we've decided to postpone to the event until the next day, Sunday November 16, 2008.

Sunday looks to be dry and cooler, so that should be a nice way to end the season.

I apologize to those who can't make the event on Sunday; I hope you understand.

Sunday's Schedule
7:30am pits open
9:00am Registration opens
9:30am Registration closes
9:45am Driver's Meeting
10:15am 1st car off

There is no food nearby, so I would recommend bringing your own food for the event. There is a McDonalds at the nearest interstate intersection, but that is 5-10 minutes away.

Please spread the word!

Regards

There's also a White Swan barbecue place in the Shell station next to McD's, and a Subway across I-40. Of course, Christine may be able to sell subs or something since it's no longer on Saturday, so somebody should probably ask her about that.

I can probably help with setup on Saturday, if you still need help. (for additional seat time, of course) 8)

I might be able to but won't know until Friday night.

There are a BUNCH of places at the hwy 210 exit off I40 (exit 319). It's 10 minutes or less from the RallyX site to this area.

Here's what's there:

McD's
Taco Bell/KFC
Wendy's
White Swan (BBQ/Fried Chicken)
Subway
China King (Chinese take out)
Papa's Pizza + Subs (sort of like Papa John's, sorta)
Two Cousin's Pizza + Pasta (GREAT Pizza + Pasta, etc)

Not that it helps for this event, but they're setting up to build a Bojangle's at this intersection- should be done in the next month or so. ;)

If you go the other direction (Towards Hwy 42/ Exit #312) there are a few more options, though it's a little bit farther drive:

(most of the other places, plus these)
Yummi Japan (Japanese take out)
Cook Out
Jersey Mike's
Burger King
Dairy Queen
Bojangle's
Golden Corral
Crackwhore Barrel
Andy's Subs
Pizza Inn
Smithfield's Chicken + BBQ

We've got a nice course set up- Bret gave about 30% extra room this time and we were able to make good use of it.

BTW, the name of this event is "When Turkeys Fly"... you may want to bring a camera! :-)
