We really need an event for august...

That was our August event that got rescheduled to July to accommodate SCCA regional at Summit Point, WV on Aug 2-3.

We could try to squeeze a new August/Sept event in.
But when? I see 3 possible weekends.

I am willing to get a new event organized, but I need help.
We have to get a site confirmed; Bus logistics; and an Event Chair

We need a site. Four Oaks again?
I need commitment from 30 drivers to make this a break even financially for the club (Please take poll)
and I need an event chair! (soon)

The August 1-3 conflict is Rally WV - not an SCCA event.

Four Oaks is available, but I'll be out of town Aug 23-24. Aug 16/17, or 30/31 would work best for Four Oaks.

I cast my vote for any Saturday since Pete's new job makes Sunday's unavailable. (And "No, he is not preaching now at The Church of Riding Around) :D
We may even be coerced into chairing the event or driving the bus.

Don't want to step on anyone's toes, but the BMW farm is available for a RallyX if you're looking for a different site.

Would an event at the BMW Farm have the LeMons cars on display for visitors?

i will need to know in great advance. so i can beg for that day off work.(yes, im working again) the event was missed due to work lately..if i donot get a great deal of advance notice, the exact same thing will occur(i work sundays)
but...... if i can make it, i will certainly be out for blood. you know how i get, i dont get to do something, it reallly makes me want to run hard, due to the fact that i hate, missing races.

i would like to run another, we need time to work on the toyota, but i think we can fix it.. we will see, the carburator i think.

Oh, hell yes! I vote for the BMW farm for our next site!

I'm in for driving. I think Chuck will be too if I can motivate him to work on the SciRocco LOL

8/24 works well for me, but I am flexible. I can offer a ride for the bus driver also.

where do we stand, so far on the rally cross front? we are slowly getting closer, to getting the car running again. (we are enlisting backup)
i would like a saturday event. The reason being i work sunday's, I dont mind a little dust either.. OCS was dusty as everything, but I was going so fast i did not care much. The BMW farm has a lot of room to run, and we can run rain or shine too.. as it stands right now, i work sunday and monday, so friday i could help with setup.. Perhaps I can not pre run it, but i could help set up.Also, I could carry some things to help grade the course, on friday in the truck, I could use that as an excuse to top off, on cheaper gas too. :P
I would like to run another event.. Racing is in my blood, you know that.. I am always up to run again!

'tis a button steeped in club history.

The artwork is by Kurt Spitzner, lettering by a calcomp plotter programed by yours truly. Original idea by George Bright, Kurt Spitzner, and Harry Nicholos over drinks at the Winners Circle lounge.

Cooool. 8)

I know I'm not exactly a member of the winner's circle, but is there a snowball's chance in hell I could get a high res copy of the image so I can make a sticker? I promise I will not profit from it or try to sell the image

Before you say nay, I just want to add...purdy pleeeze? :D

All,
I recently sent this email to those who had registered for a RallyX event this year. If you did NOT receive this email and wish to vote for a please send an email response to this message to  rally@thscc.com :

Quote:
We are trying to plan an extra RallyX event in the next few weeks. In order to have this event we need commitment from at least 30 participants. I am asking you to reply to this email and provide your input as to whether you can participate. You will see an option for Four Oaks and BMW Farm sites. If we have the new event at one location, we will have the November 15 event at the other location.

Please prioritize your response 1 - highest; 2 - 2nd highest; 3 - 3rd highest; 4 - lowest; X no go.

__ Sun August 24 BMW Farm
__ Sat August 30 Four Oaks
__ Sun August 31 BMW Farm
__ Sat Sept 6 Four Oaks

Please reply before Wed August 13 @ 5pm so I can make an announcement at the THSCC monthly meeting.
