I was trying to decide between the RX and installing my M50 manifold this weekend.

My garage has a 2-ton AC. Guess which option won out.

Yes I'm a wimp and I'm OK with that.

very nice upgrade. which car Mike?

i hope it is not 95 degrees in the mountains this weekend.

What a bunch of wimps! If two old fat men, one with a bad heart and one a cancer survivor, can run tomorrow you young guys have no excuse!

Or maybe you guys know you have many opportunities to rallycross in the future and we know time is limited!

Back in the day ...

Walter I'll bring my generator so we can run some fans and charge admission to those who voted against a generator for the club

I never voted against a generator...
Hmmm; I may bring my generator and a window A/C unit and make my own cool air at my pit. 8)

Remember it will be a Code Red Ozone day , so now unnecessary idling of engines.
Hybrid RallyX'ing anyone?

Can someone explain to me how THSCC having a generator would make the rallycross this weekend less hot?

For all that attend. Keep an eye on your buddy. If they stop sweating, pass out, or become confused, don't hesitate to call 911.

I will have some cold packs for those who need help cooling off. And, we have lots of water on hand too.

The generator would be for the fridge - to cool off the beer! :P It doesn't make it less hot, you just don't care so much!

Fans to cool down those who have heat stroke. You know Stephen. Besides then the power problems with the bus would lessen and we could get out of there eariler.

Seriously, if we still have electrical power issues with the bus I want to be the first to know about it. I'm not getting away from home to events much these days (darn kids...)

Oh and on a serious note -- on stupid-hot days like this weekend, y'all should amass a bunch of ez-ups, generators, and box fans and make a big shady/breezy area near the bus. Not something the club needs to provide and lug around all year but can certainly be organized voluntarily.

That was kind of my point. To my knowledge, there haven't been any recently. Yeah, we still have to start the bus every now and again, but that's not a big deal.

Agreed, the only time we get the whistle telling is of low power is when the bus has been off for a LONG time and we are trying to run the timing equip, computer and print off results. Once we start the bus and let it run for 30 minutes or so, we are usually good until the end of the event.

Personally, I don't see that as a power issue.
