BTW, the DNF time was changed from 1:30 to 2:00 after the fact, since several drivers had times >90 secs, and a few others were in the 80s.

DNW shame on the guys in the Corolla who bailed early without working (or finding a replacement).

Props to Malia - 3rd in NO4 and 10th overall!

Also to Ed Adams - 3rd in SU2, 5th overall, and 0.176 secs off Fastest Time Course 2!

Y'all also need to watch out for my new codriver Sean McCarthy - 5th in SU2 and 7th overall in his 2nd rallycross ever! I don't think he's got any previous motorsports experience, actually...

Just to be clear, we are NOT talking about the guys in the one with the light bar and toasted clutch right?

I don't know- I didn't see the car, just the results, and the issue was discussed by both VPs.

I think that was them.

Ugh - I wish I hadn't looked at the results. That mud was *brutal* if you got it wrong. I did wave bye-bye to the workers on one run as I skated off through the mud in the sweeper
When I DNF on a finish cone, I make sure to make that cone pay

Bah, I beat her by over almost 10 seconds in a street-tired 1WD car. She still drives like a girl! :P

Just kidding Malia...good job...for a girl. :P

The three drivers that are marked DNW actually did work in the afternoon but did not check in. We will try to get the results changed to reflect this.

Their car broke after lunch and they stuck around to work the 4th heat. I thought that they left early but they apparently just moved their car out of the pits.

Done. Sorry to say it didn't improve their standings any, but at least the DNW shame is gone.

Good to know - they didn't seem like wankers that would bail on work  - bummer that they cooked the clutch.

Ironman award has to go to Walter and Christopher for running The Dog - launching on the starter motor = no wheelspin!

I enjoyed the school and rallycross. It reminded me of driving on ice. Very slick, it fit i think my driving style. Not as aggressive as some, not as much guts as patience.Although we sure gave some trees a scare in the slalom! Saturday was a riot, the handbrake is not working in the toyota, Therefore we cant park brake either. Everywhere we went, we had to find flat ground to park on.(then i had to go get the car, and i often got lost on site) However it was great fun, not getting out on the first try going home was highly agitating. Note:next time, park on the high ground and just walk in. Our car is now incredibly filthy, needs a real good rain storm for a bath. Till next time, Rally on folks.
