I had a good time Sunday, the Laser made it home and was even fairly clean after a $7 gas station car wash. I obviously have a lot to learn, and should have done the Saturday school, but knew I wouldn't have endured two days out in that weather. I did take in-car video but my my $129 camera didn't produce very good quality video, its embarrassingly bad. Too much movement in RX for it to handle I guess. Though even my fastest time was pretty darn slow, taking 15 seconds off from my first to my last run in the afternoon felt really good. Gotta find that other 15 seconds now. :-)

i was totally embarrased. looks i can drive the "wagggn" in the dry and damp but def not the soaking wet. i seen every cone i hit but couldnt do nutting about it. Vincent said i was ok at the turn and then the car just slide and slide over to the tree line. woo hoo for sliding with no control. Next will be ice racing.

Just in case some of you Rxers don’t read the AX thread….

Ash has volunteered to clean the bus and cones on Sunday after the “mudfest” last weekend at OCS. I’ve checked them out, and yes, it is necessary. Many of the cones are so covered in mud they aren’t even orange anymore. Please contact her and help her out. Seriously, the bus can’t go to the Greenville event in this condition. Thanks in advance to all who step up.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the events this weekend. I think some fun.

Ash did a great job as event chair. Keith Strassel, Brian Herring, Vincent Keene, Chris Suich and Chuck Nelson did a lot of work setting up the courses for the school and the rallycross. And thanks to the great group of instructors that taught on Saturday.

On the day of the events, everyone just pitches in and does whatever is necessary to make the event run.

While driving on Sunday I only had to stop and back up once on course. I did not have to be pushed out of the mud like at the last wet OCS event. I consider that a success.

Thanks,
Charlie

This was a great event. I loved the course and hope we can run it when it is dry. I like fewer cones and wide open gates. This way the good drivers find the right line and go faster. Hitting a bunch of cones isn't fun, but having room to go fast is!
Everybody did a great job. Thanks for all the hard work.

Hey Walter, in case "The Dog" does not survive the slave clutch repair... Only $1300 bucks!

Yes, we made a mess and now we have to clean after ourselves. If you can come help on Sunday, your efforts will be greatly appreciated and possibly rewarded.

I would expect to get start late morning or 12 at the latest. More details to come.

[/Guilt trip on]Please don't depend on your VP's and event chairs to do all the work, or before long you won't have and VP's or event chairs. [/Guilt trip off]

Hey Gwen, what's the nearest pizza place that delivers?

 Couldn't we put the cones out before the next 3 days of rain?
