Tadpoles are almost all grown up now. Should hop away by the rallyx date.

Started mowing/setting up the courses. Crossover in the morning, keyhole in the afternoon. Both counterclockwise, like last time. Shifted some lines a little in a couple of places.

Should have enough cones to mark at least one course, just wondering when the bus will arrive. Anyone?

If it will be Saturday night after dark, or Sunday morning, we'll need some people to show up early and help with pit/grid, worker stations, etc.

Once again, there will be tires in some places. If you're feeling like a scared little baby, please see me before moving any of them. Don't just go out there with a chip on your shoulder and start altering stuff. I don't just throw random crap out there for no reason - so if you want to know the reason, just ask. Besides, I see people doing a lot stupider things with their cars out there than running over tires. (these are the very same people who complain about the tires, btw  )

I'm thinking next year you may see some of the items pictured here:

Just a friendly reminder, but as long as the event is sanctioned by THSCC the RallyX VPs have the final say on the course configuration, not you.

Just a friendly reminder back at ya... before you go out there and start moving stuff around, come see me. If you weren't there for setup & testing, you probably have no idea why things are set up a certain way, and it's probably a bad idea for you to just show up and start changing them, as you've done in the past.

Thanks.

Some of the tires are around items we don't want hit or the Tadpoles.
We tried cones but the they were hit anyway.

Thanks
Christine

The courses are already set? :?:

I thought that was up to the event chairs & RallyX VPs.

Four Oaks has been deemed a semi-permanent course; meaning we run the same basic course all the time. Kevin may make some small adjustments to accommodate deteriorating conditions, ruts, etc.

If you want to come over tomorrow & help finalize, feel free. I have a few different paths mowed in some places & plan to test for fun factor, safety and rutting potential tomorrow.

Any thoughts on getting the bus there? I will happily offer a ride back for the bus driver to wherever their car is.

I am bringing the bus from the Smart Challenge to Four Oaks Saturday afternoon.

I'll be at the EV challenge as well, so I'll be coming back to Four Oaks with the bus also.

Kevin, I don't know what your timeline is like, but we can start on grid and worker stations when the bus is there that afternoon. Will help to limit the amount of work needed to be done that morning of course.

Ash, again, I don't know what your timeline is like, but if you want to meet out there Saturday after the EV challenge, then we can get the last minute things done.

Shouldn't take us too long, but slot a couple of hourse just in case.
