Just a quick update, I'll have a more detailed report later. Kieran and I successfully completed our fifth rally and at RWV took 2nd place in the Rally Spec Focus class despite blowing a rear top strut mount on stage 1. Awesome roads later in the rally but the first few were very rough with several triple-caution elements. Detailed results are not available yet but I think we finished 11th out of the 21 MaxAttack (2wd) competitors and maybe 21st overall from a starting field of about 40.

Our own Amy Feistel and Matt Smith were codriving and Anders was clerk of the course and general ham hero.

Andrew Frick's Focus broke an engine mount causing other damage on day 1 and he was unable to complete repairs until late Saturday but re-entered to fun run the final two stages.

I actually saw the USUK racing Focus being towed on I-40 Sunday afternoon near Greensboro. Two young guys one I assume was Kieran were driving the tow vehicle, I did not see you Simon.

Congrats Simon! I've heard lots of good things about that rally but have not been up there yet to check it out myself. Definitely would like to hear more details when you get a chance!

I was in the back seat - it was Kieran's turn to drive and our crew chief, Emerson, is a big lad and it seemed unfair to cram him in the back after giving up his personal time to crew for us.

I'm sure Simon was there (as he has already stated), it just happens that he's one of the young guys :)

Well, I've finally posted my rally report from Rally West Virginia to the usukracing web site.

I've also put the in-car video of one of our stage runs to music - see the links right at the bottom of the page.
