Join us for THSCC's next rallycross, to be held on Saturday, May 12th in Clayton, NC. Named "Momma Won't Let Anyone Dirty Get Through" in honor of Mother's Day the next day, event chairs Mike Whitney and Jim Feinberg will keep you right here under their wing, they won't let you fly but they might let you sing...

We'll be using a different area than our "usual" this time. It's an area we used once before, but this time it'll be expanded to twice the area we had before!

Christine and her cadre of lovely asssitants will be providing lunch on site! Burgers and subs for all!!! Full details, including times, prices, and directions, can be found at the link above.

Registration is also open online- it's quick and easy and you can even pay with Paypal or credit card! You can do that here:

Hope to see y'all there!
Mike, Jim, Carl, and Chris.

Shouldn't the gal on the dash plaque be...dirtier? I mean, it is a rallyX after all!

I do like the 'Cars' theme for the, er, cars.

Why do I miss all the interesting events? Will this be in the field we ran in last April or is this another field we haven't run in? Either way everyone have fun.

It'll be in the field we ran in last April, plus the area we used for pits last April, plus the next "section" past that. I don't remember if we decided where we'll be pitting this time, but there's plenty of room all around there, so it won't be any problem.

I forgot to mention this at the club meeting last night, but we need someone to drive the bus and trailer back to Apex. Are there any multi-driver teams who might be able to help out?

Thanks!

Oh, I should also mention, for those of you towing trailers, that there is an earthen bridge you'll need to cross to get to the field we're using. This bridge is strong, but it's a bit on the narrow side.

Bret and Kelly have requested that everyone who can, use the bridge for access. However, there may be some folks with oversized rigs, or who are otherwise uncomfortable with their abilities, and for those folks we will make a detour around the bridge available. Kelly stressed that this detour should only be used by a very few folks, as it would be going through the "old" field, which is not their land, and is now highly valued in its new use as a horse pasture, so they don't want any bad blood with their neighbors.

FWIW, I will be taking the club bus and trailer across the bridge, so if it makes it you will need a monster rig to have a good excuse. If I don't make it you won't need such a good excuse.

I don't mind driving the bus back....but I need a ride to the BMW Farm in the morning. I'm in Morrisville if anyone is willing.
