I did not see any thing about safety requirements. Is this the kind of event that would require a cage(Or a cage would be a REALLY good idea)?

They have some in-car video on the site and it looks like the dude driving is just wearing a ball cap! He seems to be on a competition run so I'm not sure what's up with that. I always thought hill climbs had similar safety requirements to time trials? Strange.

Doh. I didn't read that part.

The guy still looks like he is trying pretty hard. You can even hear his tires squealing in several spots. It's funny, the site says specifically that non-competition runs at speed are strictly forbidden. :?

It definitely looks like fun either way.

That video would be of a "site evaluation" run

It's definitely a bit silly to make the huge fuss about no "fast" preruns at the site then on the same page post a video of a pretty fast run... I'm pretty sure I know who it is driving there.

The event requires full Solo 1 prep (or whatever Solo 1 is called now) and no novice license holders. From watching the video I'd be hesitant to do the event without a full cage, even though I'm pretty sure the rules allow a 4-point.

the cage work looks like it would be cheaper than the "cabin" rental. is the resort sponsoring this event?

this appears to be a road in a very high end community under construction. no way it lasts more than two years if it ever really gets off the ground. and what is it they are saying about the construction vehicles? don't hit any of them? this can't be for real.
