The school and Rallycross were great! I can't think of anything that could have been better. Vincent's format for the school was perfect. It was the first time I didn't want to make "just one more run". Cosby and Dustin taught me a lot. Carl kept things running well too. Thanks to the guys who help me when my car broke. FYI - Dustin's trailer lug nuts do fit the apper shock mount on a '87 Maxima!
The event was perfect and I love the surface at OCS. If I had a nice car, I might not like the small section with all the rocks, but clay is a lot more fun than sand. The folks at OCS are great too. It is worth the 2 1/2 drive for me.
Regarding THSCC running events - You guys do a great job and deserve more credit than you get.
Thanks.

I’m glad to hear everyone enjoyed the school format on Saturday. The idea was to make sure the students were able to get run after run after run. Practice makes perfect for most of us….Feinberg excluded of course who needs no practice. Bastard! :P

Thanks again to my partner in crime Chuck Nelson for his role in the weekend. Most of you may not know that Chuck hauled the equipment to the site on Saturday since the AX program was using the bus at the EV Challenge. Also thanks to Chuck's wife Ash for all her help at the event. I’ll bet you got a good dusting yesterday taking pics didn’t you? :P

The OCS site owner Kim is also a joy to work with. She really seems to enjoy us being there. I still don’t know why, but at this point who cares? The site holds up well, has some necessary amenities like the tire machine and camping, and the roach coach food is pretty good too.

Also I’d to mention once again that we have some of the best people in this club. I must have had a dozen people asking about my car problem and offering any help I needed. Charlie and Mo even offered me one of the vehicles as a loaner until I could get mine fixed. People like that are rare in this world, but THSCC seems to have a bunch of them. Thanks again everyone. BTW, AAA finally came about 4:00 yesterday to haul the old Cavalier home.

PS. I wasn’t on my game yesterday morning, but I’ll be back when the new shocks are installed on the General. Charlie I wouldn’t get used to beating us if I were you.

:D Yesh, yesh I did! But I also got some great footage! It really was the best vantage point for getting whole course coverage. I am almost finished uploading footage from the school, I should have links for videos of both days posted Wednesday. 8) I am already looking forward to the next RallyX

i apologize for my rude behavior at hte rally x. it upset me that i nearly got the guy with the camera, sebastien said i turned in too early, the reason it upset me so, is that unfortunately i must take a mood enhancer each morning.. i was in a trot to get out he door, and did not ingest such thing.. consequently i was not my self.. ( or maybe i was, meaning myself can be nasty) i need to work a great deal on navigation before i try to compete closely.. overall, i liked the site, it had huge grip in spots where it was well packed and brushed. the finish slalom was unreal it was so fast.even after it was shortened.. 5k rpm in second gear in a car with 70 hp.. very cool.. i want to return, however, my experience with hills in the course is limited.. it is a new element, one i have yet to adapt to.. anyway, i like the site, how did the woman running the place think? navigation and looking extremely ar ahead is something that for me needs tremendous work, before i can compete closely again, for, i know i have the ability to control the car, but planning is still something i need to adapt to, i was trying to drive without a co driver, and do things my self, it was tough.. that would have been wiser on kevins field, where it is more familiar surroundings.. eventually i will figure all this out..

cheers...

pete g

Upon searching through our stuff I cannot find our dash plaques from the OCS Rides of March Rallyx. Are there any leftovers that are available? I'll be going to the Greenville event this weekend and can pick them up then.

Thanks! :D

We ran way out of dash plaques- we only did 50 for the weekend, and people musta grabbed bunches on Sat cuz there were only like 10 left come Sunday. I do think I remember seeing 3 lonely ones laying on the table during the awards ceremony, though, so there might be some out there somewhere...
