I've been waiting for this episode of SJ to air. I guess I may have missed this one.

Thanks for the link.

Impressive how flat the car stayed through the flight. Most car jumps "nose over" pretty quickly.

As we all know jumping isn't too hard, landing however is the killer.

Niiiiice!

As an aside, that's Tarheel member Bob Wall's old '02 PGT car. Ken bought it from him and now uses it as a "spare"/fun car. Must be nice to have a professionally built and maintained PGT legal rally car as a spare...

Oh yeah, that's right! So that means I've ridden in the car that did the 171 foot rally car jump! :P

Would you *want* to ride along *during* that jump? Not me! That landing looked pretty harsh.

That's a good question. It sure looked like fun, except for that flat landing. My back and neck are already screwed up enough, I really don't need to go out making them worse. But I'd be sorely :P tempted.

I think if I'd been there at the time, after the first jump but before the 2nd, with all my gear (and a HANS device) and Ken had said "Hop in for the big ride", I would have.
