What's up with this event- we have 12 people signed up? Is everyone just burned out for the season or something? I'd have thought people would be psyched to check out the new site...

Kieran and I will be running the Focus rally car!

Oh, we'll have it. I'd just greatly prefer that it be a success. And by that I mean that:
  1. It runs smoothly and safely.
  2. We have a good turnout.
  3. Vance and Kim at OCS are encouraged by what they see and want to have us back for future events.

I posted about it at GRM and NCVW. Maybe that will get you some more people. If you want me to remove them let me know.

I'm probably going to make it. At the moment it's possible that there won't be an engine in the RS next weekend if I get motivated for the repair.

Todd Phillips, from Charlotte, is planning on attending. Kent Davis is a maybe as well in his Eclipse.

Carl / Kevin - Do you want us to try to drum up some interest in the event? There are a couple of boards I could post it to as well. And I'm sure other could.

With less than 20 people signed up this could be a great event to introduce a first-timer. Everyone go get that person at work/school/church who might be interested and let them drive your car :)

Of course the trailer costs more than the car. Heck, renting the trailer might cost more than the car :)

You mean you're more likely to make it if you're less motivated? Well then, by all means relax and have a cold one!

Cool- haven't seen Kent at a rallyX in a while- since that time he yanked the shift cable off the Neon, I believe! ;-)

Yes, by all means, that'd be great. And, as an aside, please let me know what other boards you are posting to, so I can add them to my list.

Right now I spam... er, post event announcements to the following boards and mailing lists:
  • VMSC forums
  • Triad forums
  • CCR forums
  • SCR SCCA forums
  • TeamTac (Tennessee)
  • SpecialStage.com forums
  • BRR SCCA forums
  • NCVW forums
  • NCdubs forums
  • WDC SCCA mailing list
  • NC-rally mailing list
  • Tidewater SCC mailing list

Thanks!

Anyone want to try out Rallycrossing this weekend? I have an open seat in the Legacy.
