The “jumps” however were more of a novelty than anything else. We’ve had ruts three times as deep as the jumps so after Kevin’s stern safety speech they were every non-eventful.

They were especially non-eventful to those who were too much of a pussy to even use them. To the rest of us, they were pretty fun.

I was tempted.....but I didn't know if the crazy glue was going to hold up.

I think I'll avoid jumps and ditches next time. I knew I had hit hard and thought, "I hope all four wheels are still on this thing".

Your Dog needs to stick to Kennel Ration; it's the "dog chow" you need to avoid! That chewed up muck *after* the ditch is what *really* sent your a**end bouncing into the air!! We had a ring-side seat in the bus to that show.

I am happy to entertain! If I can't be fast, I'll be entertaining. Hummm, maybe I should be loud too. I need a hood scoop like PJ.
While the potential to be fast in an 1987 Maxima is low, it is still fun.

Sorry for the delay, but results are finally up!

The reason the results are late is because I've been messing with video! Between Keith Vail and me we got video of most (but unfortunately not all) cars, and I've put together a highlight video and posted it on YouTube at

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S6vhls7fgcs

In the coming days I hope to put together whatever clips I have for each competitor so everyone can download their stuff. I'll try to keep you posted!

Keep in mind our next event will be on Saturday, October 28th at the BMW Farm in Clayton, NC. I hope to bring my camcorder out again.

edit: had video link wrong...

Damn! The only clip of me is doing one of my screw-ups. I lost traction and mowed a bit more of Kein's tall grass.

Bummer.

Sorry to say, Simon, but I think all the clips I've got of you have you screwing up- usually right there.

But I'm glad at least you could view the clip- I'm a pretty novice user of Adobe Premiere, but I didn't see a choice to export to anything other than WMV format, and I was concerned about non-Windows users.

Actually I thinking the editing is pretty good. However, I can definitely tell the difference between the videographer between morning and afternoon. The morning shots were much better IMO. All in all pretty cool stuff!

You didn't like my stuff from sitting in the tree? :-)

The diff in the videographer was S/NU2 vs everyone else, not morning vs afternoon. Keith shot all the SU2 footage. I'm to blame for the rest.

Dang! You would show my seriously botched run from the afternoon...

Cool video though, thanks for the good work Carl.

Hmm, well I'm a newbie too, but I don't see a way to do it either. Maybe it's not worth it isolating each driver's clips and putting them up, if they can't then download them to their own machines for their own reuse in other projects. Do any video experts here know an answer or have a suggestion?

As for the highlight clip, I could put it up on the club website. Plus so far I've got each NO4 and NU2 driver's clips isolated (but still on my machine).
