... people who drive to work in a manual without two operating feet. Yea. That would be one of our fastest guys.

I just think the crazier you are, the faster you are. What does that say about Kevin? :)

I just printed out the registration form and almost spit out my drink! I new it was "pricey" but didn't know it was $80 to go to this thing!! Holy cow I hope we can swing comped entry fees

Either way I'm going. Just hope I can use that money for something else, like gas there and back. :D

Oh, please keep in mind you HAVE to be an SCCA member to participate. That is ANOTHER 80 dollars if you have already used your free year of SCCA membership from when you bought the car.

Good luck :)

Oh, please re-read my original post. Volunteers for Timing and Scoring duties will be receiving free temporary memberships (good for this event only). Even if you don't volunteer to help, these memberships cost around $25, so quite a bit better than $80.

The free membership IF we get selected to help -- understood.

There is the ability to get a 'one race' membership for 25? Or is that a yearl membership? I thought it was quite pricey atm for an SCCA membership... maybe I am wrong...

http://www.scca.com/Member/Index.asp?Id ... 200|014&~=

"The cost of your SCCA membership is comprised of $55 national dues plus Region dues ranging from $0 - $25."

Right now only you, Cosby, Keith and Kevin Allen have volunteered to help out, and no one else has contacted me at all. We still need more help, including announcers. So if anyone is interested in going to this event, we will do everything we can to get you all the benefits we're able to wrangle out of these folks!

PLEASE HELP!

After much thought and consideration, I realized that even though it's $80, that's for 3 days worth of activities. Not much worse than our events. Just happens all at once. :P I'm through with my shock now, although free entry still would be nice, though I'm not knocking the free temporary membership for the event. :D

I have felt the $80 is par for the course and I realized it wasn't a bad deal when I heard that we were getting a test day on Friday then running two totally different courses Saturday and Sunday. Then the question I have is will there be any advantage to volunteering for this if we already have a full SCCA membership?
