Thanks for coming out and playing with us today, sorry the portajohn got there a little late (all my fault), hope you had a great time and hope to see you again in March!

This was one of the most fun days I've had at a rallycross, autocross, or whatever else in a long time. :D

Thanks to everybody who helped us keep things moving right along - those of us who are "in charge" at these events really appreciate your help!

Things started out on the cold side, but by lunchtime it had warmed up pretty nicely- the sun was warm and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. No mud and no dust made course conditions good as well.

It was a good turnout, 44 drivers, including a good number of first-timers. I think folks had a good time. I, personally, especially liked the afternoon course.

Thanks to Eric Adams for letting me drive his tail-happy SE-R while the Neon's laid up!

We hope to get the results up sometime today (Sunday).

Does anyone else have any comments about the courses or the events? I didn't notice any definitive difference in the course conditions by the end of the heats even with all the folks running rally tires, what did y'all think?

Great time today! It was a bit "chipper" this morning but we all survived.

Courses? I dont think the intro of Rally tires made a HUGE difference overall. I do not like the "side section" that wasnt a place to gain time only to loose it, the surface seems a bit on the slick side. Its alot like a turnaround in AX, I know why we have 'em but they still stink.

My paltry 2 cents, Charlie and I just need to up driving cause SU2 is getting to be a dog eat dog place.

From my experience with fixing the ruts between heats and after the events, I would say that rally tires made absolutely no impact. Of course, we only had a few people who were actually running on them. Mine were in the garage, since Kevin Hoff didn't show up :P (I was running on all-seasons), and the other two guys in my class were on snow tires. I know Andrew Frick was on rally tires, and Keith and Chris were on tires that were pretty aggressive, not sure about the guys in NO2.

I personally like the "keyhole" as Simon has named it, and I've heard many positive comments about it. We may not use it for every event here, but we'll definitly keep using it based on the feedback. One of the great things about the turnaround back there is that it doesn't get torn up at all. Just a few ripples, but I didn't even need to scrape it between heats (although I did anyway since I was already there). :D

Gots to say that I had a pretty good time. Now I just need to get more use to driving the General and figure out when and where I can cut corners to avoid the cones! :D

I'd say I didn't have such a bad day for my first time out in that car.

Thanks to all who were there to help and for those that ended up helping just because. Things go smooth not only cuz a lot of people put in hard work, but because we have a lot of people that do help out. Thanks again.

Sounds like everyone had a great time, wish I had been there. Congrats to Keith, what a way to go.

I decided at the last minute (Thursday) to take it easy this weekend. I needed to start preparing for my trip to the SCCA National Convention. Leaving on Wednesday as one of two reps for the SCR.

Hopefully, I'll see all you guys at the next one.

Need to change that avatar. 8)

Great event! Fun courses (fast!) and good weather made for a really good time. Thanks to Kevin and staff for putting it all together once again.

I think the General Lei got some new found respect too. 8) With his new shoes he did much better for all of 5 us on Saturday. Not to brag, but 7th overall in what people call a POS with 71whp isn't too bad!

Hats off to Coz for showing that if you can drive, the car itself doesn't make as much of a difference. He made the coneversion from AWD to FWD pretty darn quick! Must be those green pants he's famous for.

Can't wait til the next event!

I had a great time Saturday... can't wait until the next RallyX. I enjoyed the company of the more relaxed eventers. Such "gracious professionalism" out there... people helping people have fun, very nice.

I like the variety of track conditions ouyt there. The slippery keyhole and the soft area at the far end of the course have a lot to teach a novice RallyX'er. I learned a lot Saturday have to control the car with the throttle.

Thanks to all that put this together and a big thanks to Kevin's mom for allowing us to come till the soil :D .

BTW... from another POS owner, it just goes to show you don't have to invest big bucks to do well and have some fun... although if I lived on a farm and owned a Subaru 2.5RS I'd better be 17 seconds faster than everyone else (arrrgh!).

Pictures, pictures, whose got the pictures?

Hey, anybody who comes out and helps me clean up the mess afterward - or helps with setup before an event - gets to play as much as they want. 8)

My 2.5RS really couldn't be any easier to drive fast, either - all the setup work I've done on it has paid off big time. Now all I need is a lightweight hood, quicker steering rack, a WRX engine swap and some rally tires that will hold air between rallycrosses. I wonder if I could break the 1 minute mark with all that?
