So do we have a definitive answer as to who is running the July 1st event? It's coming up and dash plaques and names need to be addressed. Just curious since I was already pimped out for it. :P

sorry, i can't do 07/01/06. too much annoying stuff going on. (pronounced: work) and besides, i am not sure i am ready for a chair position. i'll say it "Skeeered". maybe next season.

Wow. You should definitely be an event Chair. In my experience it is basically:

- Show up to setup. Make a course. Wait for Kevin Allen to show up. He changes all of the course and tells you it is good.

- Make a Dash Plaque

- Show up on the morning of to setup cones for people to find the site

Pretty easy, in all honesty. Since we use MANY less cones than our autoX brethern, it is very simplistic, IMHO. Being a rallyX VP... not as easy.

Hey. Brian!

Change your avatar. You look like Jim Pastorius on dirt.

So since all you noobs are too skeered to chair this event, Cosby and Brian will be chairing July 1st. If another person wants to volunteer to co-chair, let us know. Even if you just want to observe and assist so that you can learn something, it will be appreciated.

If it's this weekend, then it can't be till Saturday eve or Sunday eve. Otherwise, we'll have to get out there Friday afternoon. Anybody have thoughts on that?

Not that it will matter but I can't do this weekend. Up in Va for an autocross all weekend. Any day during the week works for me though.

Please get an event name and at least an idea for a dash plaque to Vincent Keene and webmaster@thscc.com ASAP, or there won't be any dash plaques. Thanks!

Planning to take the bus over on Tuesday. We can do setup then, if you'd like. Thursday would be my second choice, since I can be there before dark. Working till 8pm all other days.

I can make either of those days. Give a time and day and I should be there.

Lemme know what time you guys are going to be working on Thu -- if it's mid-afternoon I may be able to bug out of work early and lend a hand if needed!

Kevin, Tuesday is already booked with a 60K check-up. Only 6 hours later and you already forgot. Man what a bad short term memory you have.
