Results from Sunday at Oakland Acres are up here...

http://www.dcrally.com/rallycross/oa6_2 ... sults.html

I got spanked - but even with my 12-second "off" in the morning, I was only 1 second slower than I was in the 2.5RS last time on rally tires. The course was SERIOUSLY fast this time!

Hmmm... the next one up there is the day after our Xmas party... to get wasted or not to get wasted? That is the question. :D

Hey, I could get wasted at the party, sober up, drive on up to OA & camp out, nearly freeze to death while getting wasted again, get up in the AM and rallycross!

Sounds like a plan... :D

Get wasted, stayed wasted, have wife do the driving while you maintain that wasted level. No use losing that good buzz :-) See use mulletheads have it all figured out.

As of now the track is mostly under standing water and the event is postponed until the rain date (12/18). We are optimistic that we will be able to run the event on the 18th, but need to wait and see what the weather does next week. We need some sunny/breezy days and no more precipitation for the course to be raceable.

Your decision just got easier, Kevin! :drunkin:

Oh, actually I signed up for the autocross at VMP instead. I haven't driven the STi @ 100% on pavement yet. :D

So I got tired of the boing-boing-boing of the stock struts and did something about it last night.

Installed the rear Konis that I had on the WRX wagon, leaving everything else stock. Set them at 3/4 turn from full soft. No more bouncy, and the car just feels nice & firm but really smooth now.

There's a left turn on the way to work that's fun to take slightly sideways (yeah, I know - they're all fun that way), but it would keep me busy with the steering due to the car bouncing off of the undulations in the turn. This morning, smoooooooth. No bouncy, just turn in, floor it & drift.

 ;)

I said 100% - I don't drive 100% on the road; there's always something left in case something unexpected happens.

Drifting a left turn at 15-20mph due to throttle application is much different than throwing it sideways into a 45mph turn and flooring it at an autox.
