I was tired, sorry. :)

I'm talking about the small jacking plate, about 9 inches by 4 inches, that is at the rear mounting point of the skid plate.

On my model year, there were nuts welded to only one of the three possible holes of the small jacking plate. In the area that acutally _touched_ the skid plate, there were only holes. One step back, there were welded nuts, but in this area, there was a gap of maybe 1/2 to 3/4 inch between the skid plate and the jacking plate.

I wanted a solid metal-metal connection, so I welded nuts up front. Using the other option would have been metal-air-tensioned metal, which I felt would loosen too quickly for my application.

I hope that makes more sense. :)
