The rally does air at 11 pm. Atleast that is when all the rallys this season have been shown. I miss the scheduling from last season when they aired at 9:30.

Man, what a carbreaker! That Loeb, though- he's a master of the art!

Loeb only had such a dominating event because Petter Solberg was plagued with bad luck and an unreliable engine during the event. When Solberg's car is running right he gives Loeb a good run.

does anyone groom those roads like they do in mexico, or finland, or some other countries? i believe last rally, the roads were not groomed either, no problem i suppose, however, the ruts will eventually get deep enough to create high centre problems, oh well... i guess it only means the car will need to be tougher.. australia high centred grunholm and he hit a tree.. pretty funny, speaking of grunholm, the peugoet must be driving him nuts, 2 miles into the stage, the car dies flat and complete... just click,, that has to drive the person crazy.. citroen is doing well, and peugoet is not.. though they are the same engine, hmmm.. sounds shady..

Most of the roads still had ruts from last year's rally, according to Nicky or that chick announcer (can't remember which one said it).

I don't enjoy watching the cars break, but events like this do reinforce the fact that Loeb ownz all the other drivers, and Citroen ownz all the other manufacturers. I'd prefer to watch Petter, Sebastien and Marcus take the lead from one another & fight to the finish (with Petter winning, of course), but it's also interesting to see the world champion just kick everybody's hineys like that.

I liked that they played the explanation by David Lapworth of why Petter and Sebastien were faster than everybody else, even though they weren't abusing the cars. Some helpful advice for some of the local rallycrossers in there... (smoothness & getting into a rhythm were mentioned)

I hate to see Marcus get screwed due to the car breaking CONSTANTLY, but it is entertaining to see his reaction to it. "beeeeeep-beep-beep-beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep-beep"

My favorite video is of Carlos Sainz a few years back throwing his helmet through the rear window on his Toyota when it died within sight of the finish on the last stage (of the last rally of the year?) and it cost him the championship. Now THAT is frustration!!

I have a ton of respect for the WRC guys. Marcus, Loeb and Petter all kick ass. I tend to like Petter the most as he seem to be such a nice guy and looks like he really enjoys himself when he wins. :)

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Hmm, I hadn't noticed that. I'll have to go back and check the tapes. :D

Marcus is a great driver, and he's had some major frsutration from that 307. Maybe it's just gotten to be too much for him, but his nerves always seem to be at the breaking point these days. I don't know for sure, but it seems like it's turned him into a "crash or win (or break)" driver. Maybe he's just trying to get to the finish line before the car craps out... :?

The car doesn't seem to be breaking for Marko Martin. He doesn't push as hard as Gronholm but is much more consistent and has been rewarded with being tied for second in the points race. The Peugot 307's main downfall right now is the handling. Both drivers are complaining about not being comfortable at the limit with the car. Some of the problem is the Pirelli tires, the Michelins have just run away with their new gravel tire.
