Bob Wall, Carl, & Matthew (now that's a crew :stupid: ) hit the road this afternoon in Bob's truck for "100 Acre Wood" in Missouri this weekend. Bob is driving his WRX, with Carl co-driving. Matthew and Barbie, er, Wendy, are sitting this one out and Matthew'll be crewing (and other :drunkin: ) for Bob and Carl this time.

If you're interested, you can check the 100 Acre Wood site for info about the rally, and you should be able to keep up with the rally happenings on the Rally America site (click the Live Update link).

It was a good event- Bob and I finished 1st in class and 1st overall in the first ClubRally (30 cars I think), 1st in class and 2nd overall in the 2nd ClubRally, and 1st in class and 1st overall in the combined event, earning Bob the title of ClubRally National Champion in Production GT class (but not me, I wasn't in the points race). BTW, Production GT is one of the "slow" classes, so one taking the overall win is pretty unusual.

The weather at the event was absolutely perfect- sunny and cool, with no dust. The roads were fantastic- wide, fast, and smooth, with plenty of jumps and bridges thrown in for excitement!

A couple nice pix found online:

More to come if I find some...

Carl, congratulations - that is awesome!!!

Can I still call you Carl or do I have to refer to you as Mr. Club Rally Champion Co-Driver Who No Longer Has Time to Talk to Loser Parking Lot Drivers? :-)

I'm sure winning made the long trip home much shorter.

Eric
