I know Vincent was kidding (or was he? hehehe) but I just didn't want anybody else to think Peter and I were cheating...

C'mon I needed some excuse as to why I didn't win right? :boohoo: Oh wait Peter had those same illegal super-duper grippy tires like Simon. That sounds like a another good excuse doesn't it? :bs:

Seriuosly I was just kidding with you and Peter. My competative spirit always shows up somewhere and makes me want to win no matter what. I know you guys didn't cheat and wouldn't even if given the chance. Maybe I just need more practice in a Subaru 2.5 RS (hint). :idea2:

I was serious about wanting a copy of the picture though. It will add to my "by Kevin Allen Photography" collection I've started.

I had a blast, too! I did notice that the SO2 cars seemed to populate the lower end of the field, but that's okay. :)

I bet that has something to do with the fact that all of the SO2 cars were heavier RWD cars. That class should've just been a "drifting" contest!

That was more fun the I imagined it would be!

Fat lot of good they did me. Coming in at 5th and 6th out of a field of 9 doesn't sound like cheating to me. :-)

For the record, I asked Carl for a ruling on my tires and he said they were measured incorrectly and in fact were a .19 and not a .31 - so there!

What a relief! I don't think I could've snuck a third set of tires past the wife. I already wore out my stock Potenza's learning how not to scrub and push and persuaded her that buying the Azenis would "save" the Continentals. I definately want to do more rallycross but it was either elect to run under rally tire class or borrow the wife's Forester wheels. Now I can run on the Continentals.

I'm sure you knew I was kidding. :P Besides I doubt at our experience level (those of us who'd never done this before) that illegal tires would have made a difference anyway.

This event was just plain fun! So when's the next one? :whoknows:

I just posted an approximate course map for last Saturday's event- it's available at http://thscc.com/rallycross/events/index.html.
