No Luck on the Rental

Well it looks like my rental car idea for the rallycross is dead.

Option #1 was a three day rental (V6 Mustang) Friday-Monday for over $220 :shock:

Option #2 was a two rental Saturday-Monday for about $140 counting the insurance. The problem with #2 is the car can't be picked up until about 9:30 Saturday morning......too late. :thumbsdown:

I can't run my car because a) it's too low b) it doesn't run! So it looks like I'll be there but spectating and lending a hand as needed.

I'm sure you can share a car with somebody. If you don't mind being seen in a beater 86 RX7 you can codrive mine. Its an inch or two lower than stock due to springs and lower profile tires, so I'm a little worried about how deep those ruts are gonna be! Worst case though if I think the car is taking a beating I might pull it halfway through, which of course would suck for your score ;-)

Like I've said fellow Tarheels are a great group of folks! I *think* I've even met Alan and he's offering me to drive his car. :woo:

I guess I'll show up and co-drive with someone (maybe you Alan) if I can or if not it's no biggie. I'm sure it will be fun either way.

Vincent - I just wanted to let you know that I'm retracting the offer to drive Christine's Civic. Instead, I'm offering the Impreza. Christine won't be driving this weekend due to illness, so feel free to bring me a six-pack of Smirnoff Ice Triple Black as payment...

and Alan - don't worry about the RX-7; we have a Massey Ferguson tractor here that I can use to drag it out of the field after you rip the axles off.

JUST KIDDING! I don't think the ruts will be that bad.
