SCCA doesnt require a bar if they have a hard top. Was it one of the scca guys? I am running both, bar and hard top.

Okay, this thread brings up a great point, because one without a rollbar was allowed to compete at our event yesterday. Not to mention, some SCCA members were present and took note, although no one spoke up to raise concern. (I didn't realize it until after the event, or I would have spoken up. I like RallyX and want to keep our program alive.)

Not sure. One has run with us in the past WITH A BAR; not sure why it wasn't on there this time. The second had a hard top; I cannot see a bar in any of the pictures of the car (it may or may not have one)

I think we've come to an unofficial-official bar AND hard top for rallyx. What gets you flipped is usually speed (limited "IME", and lots of youtube), and a bar alone won't help much there. The hard top, alone, is easily crushed. Of course, a full cage is always welcomed.

True, but the club insurer won't agree with that. (No insurance, no club.)

understand that.

Either way we need something that says how they can run or not, if that is what the club wants to do. They are becoming stupid cheap and gaining popularity in rallyx. I am just using my old autox beater for it(if i can ever make it to an event).
