One of my partners had his first rallyish experience driving his XV Crosstrek through some logging trails this past weekend and is interested in checking out Rallycross. I pointed him to the 10/25 event in Wilson (bummed I can't make it as I will likely be in New Bern with NCR). Is anyone driving a Crosstrek at events? It's basically a 1-2" lifted Impreza--not taller than a Forester, I believe. Any potential issues? How important are mudflaps at Wilson?

He would be SO4, as he is still on OE tires.

Thanks in advance!

I've not seen a Crosstek at any events, but I don't see an issue as they've taken the place of the Outback Sport model, and plenty of those run at the rallycross events.

Wilson is probably our smoothest venue. Somebody took a Boss 302 Mustang (with a splitter) around the course without any damage. The importance of mudflaps is directly proportional to how pristine he wants to keep his paint. I don't think one event will do much damage, though.
