OK, so there are no results yet, but this is coming up very soon. Since most of you missed the November club meeting you may be unaware of the current nominees. One of our newer contestants volunteered to accept the mantel of responsibility and was promptly nominated. Our other nominee was subjected to the railroading nominating comittee.
Please give a round of applause for Charles Lankford and Ray Metts.

If you would like to throw your hat into the ring or nominate someone deserving, please PM me or our club secretary. Internet voting will close shortly after Thanksgiving but I'm told that there will be an opportunity to cast a ballot at the Christmas party (although that has not been confirmed, and there will be no paper ballots - or manual counts). Your best chance to steer the direction of the Rallycross program is to volunteer. If you can't volunteer please nominate, support, and vote for the best candidate.

Just as a note, both Drew and I have commitments that prevent us from serving next year, although both of us plan to offer guidance for our successors and will be attending as many events as possible. We have enjoyed our time as VP and we encourage others to join in the fun.

If you are interested in running but worry about the responsibilities feel free to PM either Drew or me and we can step you through your concerns. Keep in mind that the VPs have the final word on how the courses are setup, so if you have different ideas we would love to see what you have in mind.

And for a bit of news for those of you who have read this far, we will be meeting with the VIR management over the winter to determine how we may use their facilities. There are likely to be events there even when the THSCC track program is not using the track. Stay tuned for any late breaking news.

I was at the meeting and asked Charlie not to put me on the ballot. I can't commit the time to make every event as a participant due to the nature of my job, much less be responsible for all of the events.

I'm hoping that might change for 2016.

I'd like to thank Charlie (and Pete) for giving so much to the program over the years, and hope that we can get some other responsible adults to step up. I feel a little guilty not to be able to do more than show up to the races; as a single parent I can't dedicate more than one day in a weekend, and that's not going to change for 3 more years. We've seen competitors attend rallyx less in order to participate in Chump Car or real stage rallies, two activities that take even more work than rallyx, and so aren't options for me, so I have a vested interest in seeing it continue.

Charlie would have to run the numbers, but I think we've seen a jump in competitors this year, especially with interesting new sites like the Fayetteville Motor Speedway's main oval and the VIR rally course, especially the later. Hopefully with some promotion of the VIR site we'll see increasing numbers again in 2015.

Charles Lankford is currently the only person on the Ballot
Brett, your help at events would be appreciated. I just hope Charles dose not drop out.

I've never taken the leadership for granted and try to help out where and when I can. If I wind up co-driving a car this year, maybe I can be the bus monkey.
