How should we handle the September event? (Please read the message(s) before casting your ballot.)
I would love to drive on the clay based VIR rally school course that is closer than Danville. 52%  52%  [ 14 ]
No thanks I'm happy with our two current sites. 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
This should replace our scheduled September 21st event (one event that month). 30%  30%  [ 8 ]
I would happily run two events in September (7th & 21st). 19%  19%  [ 5 ]
Keep the September 21st Fayetteville event and forget VIR. 0%  0%  [ 0 ]

We have Bernie Baake supposedly coming back,to drive the vw with us.Hence why we were busting our butt end ,trying to get her running.
But we think we have gotten another fan to run on the vw,ironically another nissan fan.The vw fan is too expensive,so she is ending up like a jeep.A piece of this, a bit of that, and it runs great.Anyhow,I hope the overheating gremlins do not return. If so, maybe a new temp sendign unit or something like that, will keep her happy.Anyhow,we are full up in the vw,Unless he does not show,or something comes up .

Do you know if you'll be co-driving my car? If not, there's room for one more. Three is going to have to be my limit this time with all of the recent breakages...

Ya Mike I was planning on keeping my seat in your car. Cort's outback is not ready yet.

Yeah, I have sent multiple emails about that........ I always get apologies about delays in adding rallyx info and results, yet the autox results have no problem getting posted within a week.

Where are we going once we get to VIR? I'm certain I am going to get lost.

When you sign the waver at the guard shack, he'll tell you where to go. If we're going where I think, it's on the left in front of the cart track.

I think we should have at least half of future events there, while they're in the mood to let us use the site.

That was one of the best rallyx experiences I've ever had - right up there with the SCCA championships at Oakland Acres, VA. Except the facilities around the site are FAR better at VIR.

... and we used less than 10% of what's available -- the rally site is 8ac.

Did they have any porta-potties down there? I was only there long enough to make my runs before having to get back to class or track sessions.

I'll second that. The extra seat time makes it twice as much driving time as our other sites. If the site proves to be a winner over time, it would be fun to host an SCCA championship.

This really screams out for a test-n-tune before Sandblast!

Pesky quriks aside..The vw did pretty well there, handling courses are that things strength. The rally cross had a rally africa feel to it,for someone who loves rally because of the nature side of it..I thought that was unreal,VIR really came through with that one.I thought i was flying until I got smoked by dad and all.Really took the sail down! But dad listened to me in his runs, and that is why he was so damned fast.I was driving with gusto more than brains sometimes, and I got a ilttle nervous sometimes! The grip was changeable though fun.My fave was the last few turns in to the end, really just yank one way,slide,go..yank the other way, slide,go.That was fun, that little thing is nimble. Now if we can just get it to stop overheating,Adam Ligon from BFI says the water pumps are plastic, and can go south...That is next on the list, the rest is fine i think..We got a fan that is just wired in,and blows regardless, the water pump or something is sticking i think.Anyhow, quite the course when you think its man made.Good stuff, on to teh fast roads of wilson!
