The second rallyx of the season is going to be here in about a month, and I'm looking to see one of our regulars step up and volunteer to be the event chair. All of our events run on volunteers, and those who don't volunteer to chair will find themselves in the running for VP next year :-)

The Janko team has been very generous in volunteering for the rallyx program recently, so we're looking for a different face this time. If you haven't chaired before your turn is now....

I'll do it. More shakedown time for the rally car.

Thanks for volunteering, even from a former chair or V.P. Perhaps a first timer would like to volunteer to help Kevin?

cool, I have a TKD tournament I think the day before, so doing setup and all that, and the tournament. That would be tough, Winston Salem is hosting it, I have family up thta way, So I thought I would see my grandmother...Then go pick a fight or two! then go home. And eat at cracker barrel which is in between the house and Winston.

I'll do it if you still need someone.

Great Drew! Working with Kevin will be a great way to get acquainted to how to set up a race. The two main things you and Kevin need to do are to:

1. get the bus to the facility on Saturday.
2. Get the course setup and tested.
3. Help get timing setup the day of the race.
4. Get the bus back.

Typically the VPs run the scoring and step in where needed.

Coming back in from some vacation time...Kevin and Drew, if you need any assistance on Saturday let me know and I'll show up to help toss cones around. Pete has a Tai Kwan Do tournament that Saturday, but I'll be available for whatever you may need.
If you are setting up late in the day on Saturday just be aware that the race track personnel will ask you to stop making dust around 5:00PM as they are getting ready to race (providing that there is a race that weekend).

If I was off my meds, as you so put it. I would be a very nasty disposition. My medicene is not a attention deficit medicine , it is a mood stabilizer. A side effect of aspbergers syndrome is a nasty side, that I am not proud of. I am typing this in full control of my abilities. If I was not, this post would be far uglier. Thank you.

Bad news friends. I went to the 24 hr autox last weekend and seem to have left some important things behind - namely a few gears in my tranny. The thing is toast. If anyone would be willing to give me a seat for this event, I'll still be happy to chair

Ouch, that sucks. I'm sure somebody will let you drive their beater, though. I hope we get the rear subframe replaced tomorrow, because I'm looking forward to getting the rally car sideways next weekend. And the weekend after that, for REAL.

While I'm thinking about the rallyx, Liz and I have a family day-type event at work on the 14th, so we'll need to set up mid-afternoon or later.

Hey Kevin, I just checked the track's website and there are no races listed for that weekend so setting up and checking the course late in the day should not pose a problem. Keep us posted as to what time you want to arrive if you would like some moral support (OK, free setup labor, too).

Unless he wises up and reconsiders, Drew is driving the DirtMaster 2000.

Drew if you're reading this, bring your numbers.

I will be getting beat up, at a Tae Kwon Do tournament in Winston Salem. So I wont be back till dinner time at the earliest. So, if I have not hurt anything! I will be there on teh rally cross day proper. The wrx has a problem right now, with the intake tumble valve, it pulls like a train in the cooler weather. So performance is not a issue, but I wanna know how easy that is to get at, so if we do the motor that does the valve, or the wiring or what.. .Maybe turbotime can do it.
