As most everyone knows. Sandblast is the CLOSEST stage rally to us here in lovely NC. It always needs volunteers. The pay is good, free dinner and drinks is payment for your time! These are all good folk.

Also this year unlike last year, we will have three THSCC rally cars! The wrights, Sebastian, and Kevin Allen.

Sign up to volunteer to make this stuff happen.

I reckon we are going. We are signed up and booked and all that. My wrx needs fresh mud and snow tires now, so we dont get stuck!
Me and dad are going in the wrx again... So time to get stuff ready to be packed up, right after street survival . Everyone put forth a good effort at street survival so we have good stories to tell at sandblast. 8)

Wife and I are planning on going. We signed up to volunteer, but I'd be happy to help crew the THSCC teams as well.

And an email broadcast message from Anders Green (organizer of Sandblast):
So I hope you can make it down to Cheraw, SC this year for some awesome rally action! :)

We're just about six weeks away from Sandblast Rally on March 2, which is a Saturday.Take a look at your calendar and see what's happening, then put a big red circle around 3/2/2012 for the rally!

You can bounce into the volunteering system here with just a few clicks:
http://goo.gl/Elqbc
Remember that when you sign up, you can say when you'll be showing up, what you want to do, and who you would like to be stationed with. I'll do my best to put you in a great spot! :D

We're just getting started with assigning volunteers, and still need folks in all positions! Come learn something new and grab a task you've never done before. :)

The entry field is the largest seen in five years, with 80 entries!

For some basic info on volunteering tasks, here's the link:

Pass on the message that Sandblast Rally needs volunteers... it's recruiting time! If you could send this out to your local motorheads, that would be awesome! Please post up a reminder on your Facebook page as well and in your local bulletin boards.

Remember too that you can get a free night of camping out at the H Cooper Black area. This is the spot that Stage 2 wraps around. It's campgrounds with power, and a building with showers and toilets. You'll need to call them to book, as the online system blocks everyone out the night before the rally.

And thanks for being part of the passion and action of grassroots rally! You and I are out the for the same reason: we love this kind of racing! :)"
Best regards,
Charlie Guthrie

Some of my subie guys are onboard too, some spectating some volunteering. So I got that covered. Anyone coming, Kevin Allen and crew are competing, so is Simon Wright and his son in a newly built subaru rally car. So we have to go cheer them on anyhow! The Peugoet is back, the 206 from the other year. And our own Randy Deaton is back with the 2wd winning honda civic again. He was a former student of my father, at a rallycross school once. Now he is rallying and doing well!
I find that really cool. I plan to be there working in the wrx again. We need all we can get men.So is our own Sebastien Kokoszka.

Bump for more volunteers! We've got a record number of entries this year (92 and counting, and more than half of them bikes!) That's going to be a ton of action, and it takes people to make it all happen! Just in case you didn't know, volunteers on stage crews get some of the best spectating opportunities available (not stuck with a mass of other folks behind some yellow tape), and *all* volunteers get a free t-shirt and swag, *and* free beer and food at the awards banquet, listening to the racers *sitting at your table* telling their stories! All that, and you're also helping make the event happen- it can't happen without you!

IMPORTANT PART! We need you need to sign up to volunteer! Otherwise the organizers won't know how many people they've got to work with. Click here to sign up- it's easy. Charlie's post above has some other useful links as well. Pete, make sure your Subie friends who are volunteering are actually signed up online, not "just coming to volunteer".

Thanks!

Bump again for workers! We need you if you can make it.
When I last spoke to Anders, he said that we were still short of the minimum number of workers needed to staff the stages...
