Ready and waiting at the rental car counter.... :)

BTW Kevin, if you need help at the field, give Ryan and I about one weeks notice and we'll be there to help.

May 8 & 22 look like good dates, we just need to pick one (and I know which one Kevin Hoff likes better  ).

Carl? You out there? If you need some help getting things organized, I'm sure we'd have some volunteers - including myself & Christine.

Kevin -

Carl seems to be awfully busy this year. I suggested something to Carl before but I haven't heard back from him - why not have rallycross "event chairs" who do a lot of the work? Then you and Carl can be more like RallyX VPs who do site coordination, etc behind the scene. The rallycross program _could_ rely even more heavily on the chairs than the autocross program does now.

All that Carl and you would have to do to is get together and decide on a list of responsibilities and how they are broken down between people. I can send a copy of the list of duties we have for autocross if it would be helpful.

The biggest things I can think of that are going to be a PITA and I bet you could use volunteers for is the grading and clearing of the lot. The way we've been doing it won't work. It's time to buy a better bush hog.

If you, Carl, and a few volunteers want to meet after work sometime, I'd probably be game if you need some help setting things up.

Carl's busy schedule should not be the only thing from having a rallycross. There are just too many people that love it and are ready to step up and help out. Just ask.

Heck, let's have one on BOTH May 8 and May 22.

Now, who can Kevin and Carl count on for volunteers? (Day of or in advance for preparation)

Mike

Just let me know when guys. I'm reasonably close to Kevin's place so it won't be a problem for me at all. All I ask is for a little (maybe 5 days?) advance notice so I can work it out with the boss.

Ditto here. I would be up for helping out if I had a little time to plan. I can't make the May 8th date, but I would be willing to come out the weekend before to help.

I guess May 1st and 2nd would be preparation days for the field depending on how it looks right now. Let us know what needs to be done.

Ummm... well, I have plans for the 1st (& so does Kevin Hoff  ), but I could probably be back on the 2nd. I think it would be better to prep the field a little earlier than that, and I plan to work on it a little here & there starting this week, so that there's not so much to do right before the events.

And since there's so much evening light available now, I'll probably be working on it during the week, not just weekends.

So who's volunteering to be our event chairs?

:D

I'll co-chair with someone on the 22 if that date happens.

I promise that I'm a lot easier going in person than I've been appearing lately on this list! :)
