RallyX School/T&T and Points event #3. April 30-May1.

This event will be held at BMW Farm.

Hey guys. I wanted to get this out there so we can plan for events chairs and have things ready since we'll have less than 3 weeks after our April 10 event to plan this one.

Kevin Allen will be chairing this event.

It will be like any other event chaired, except you need to come up with a course design for the school on Saturday. That usually consist of 2 mini courses in the AM, then combining those courses in the PM with the timer. The event will also start roughly around the same time. With a drivers meeting and all. we'll treat it like a race in terms of safety and registration.

This will be a very casual day. you can run as many times as you would like, and some of our experienced members will be on hand for advice and ride alongs.

If you dont want help, treat it like a T&T or just some more practice. If there's been a turn that you just cant master, we'll try to set something up in the distance for people wanting to tackle single turns. Last year we had a pivot cone.

The cost will be the same as a race day. But you'll get much more seat time.

The points event on Sunday is unfortunately the same day as one of my orchestra performances. I'll be able to attend the morning, but not the afternoon, if that's OK just this one time.

we'll make sure you get your share of runs in during the school/T&T

folks please make sure you sign up for that as well. It will be held regardless of how many entrants. So if 2 people show up, then it'll be a whole day of rallyXing for 2 people for a hell of a deal.

either way. you'll get more than 6 minutes of total race time :lol:

we will hope fully be there. the car is ready to go from ocs,did you know we had a totally blown up rear strut, right before the event? we ordered another one from kayaba , and put it in, the old one had completely blown up internally. the bottom oil resevoir i guess, the part that actually provide s resistance, was totally blown up.. the rod was straight, but hte part the rod goes into was busted big time. the last event may have been on 3 good struts and a non exsistent alternator belt. (which we also fixed). the wheel was loose like a wheel bearing was bad right, upon inspection we discovered the strut internally had been blown totally. WOW! i guess jumping cars with 11 yr old struts is a bad idea. :lol:

the exterior of it was fine, but when we took the shock and spring off the car. the thing was totally loose. wow . it handles fine now. looking forward to going nuts back at brets.... and at these potential new sites have me rather excited too.. always looking for new land.

It will be good to get back out and play in the dirt again!

Marek and I will be there Saturday with the Audi.

I went to pre-register last night after we got the car finally fixed and loaded on the trailer, but missed the website cutoff.

Can't wait to get some driving time in Saturday on some non-wasted struts, strut mounts, and control arm bushings! Hopefully all the bolts we touched stay tight, and nothing falls off.

We thought about doing both days, but we each have family stuff that meant we had to choose either Saturday or Sunday. We chose Saturday for more driving time. I wish we could do both!

We're glad we can be there at all. We missed the first event because the car wasn't ready, and we would have just missed the 10-Apr event if it hadn't been cancelled, because my wife got sick while we were putting the front struts back on the car.
