I think we're certifiably crazy now - Kieran and I went up to compete in Rallye de Charlevoix last weekend. A mere 2,350 mile round trip (so no more whining abut tow distances, ok?).

Had a blast. Finished 4th in 2WD. We were the only team from the US to finish. We have secured 1st place 2WD in the 2010 Atlantic Rally Cup and are currently sitting at #2 overall.

For the record, if you're still counting, that makes 25 finishes in 27 rallies for me in the Focus. :-)

Here is our in-car video from all the stages except 2 (cancelled with Dave Mirra's off) and 6 (camera operator error).

Simon

Congrats! How did you like it? I only ran it twice, in '91 and '92, and thought it was amazing. And so is the whole Quebec rally experience! Did they run the stage with the "gates of hell"?

This is the 2nd year since they revived that rally after a 10 year hiatus. It was a one day event (including recce!) - I believe it was a 2 or 3 day event back when you ran it? So quite a different beast. Amazing roads, some rough but many wide fast sections. There were a couple of gates but none I'd classify as "gates of hell". Describe.

I talked with Simon offline already, but to answer the question, the "gates of hell" referred to a large boulder which had somehow split and the halves separated enough to run the road through the gap. So it was a 90 left, narrow between the rocks, then 90 right.
