This looks to be one hell-uv-a game. Anyone played any of the previous DIRT rally racing games? Is it more like Mario Cart in the dirt, or an actual racing simulator?

Dirt 2 was awesome for xbox 360. Looking forward to dirt 3. Apparently gamestop doesnt have a release date because they aren't taking preorders. I'll def be getting dirt 3

It was pretty realistic with the controller. I really want to get a wheel for it

i hated dirt 2 on the wii. I just think it was cause of the lack of wires when driving. I want to get a ps3 or xbox to try this new one out. i cant wait to figure something out with it.

Overall Dirt 2 was great and the news is this one is more "real rally" based.

colin mcrae rally 3 for ps2. was one of my fave games. very real.. dirt 2 is ok.. the dirt is more tacky and not so much sliding, but the truck stuff was fun. dirt 3 hopefully they will have the driving physics figured out.but i also have wheel and all that.. lack of social network means i have lotsa playstation stuff. yes i paid my self, part of the reason im broke always!

i have dirt 3 . the rally is still not much sliding to be fast.. you slide you slow..boring.. oh well. the gymkhana stuff is very challenging. fun stuff.. you get to play with group b cars on the rallycross racing. euro style rally cross. i win alot with the metro 6r4 racer. very fast car.the mini is there.
also the diesel touraeg from the dakar series.good stuff overall.. not quite a real simulator but fun stuff anyway.

Old post, but several places had Dirt 3 for $15 this week. I picked it up for PS3. So far it's fun and less difficult that Dirt1 if I remember correctly. Flashbacks make it a lot easier.
