I hate that happened to you guys. I suppose at least I got to see you zoom by Jeremy and mine work station.

Best of luck to you Simon on getting the car back together.

Ouch :( - wanna buy an SVT?

I guess that's one Rally milestone you got out of the way - proves you are right up there with Ken Block!

Best of luck on the rebuild!

Well you didn't quite make it to where Liz and I were working, but at least we got to hear it and kinda see it happen (through the trees). And according to the results you were first at something. (first to crash out)

Many thanks to all the fine THSCC volunteers who came out to brave the cold and damp.

For those who don't know, Kieran and I wiped out on the first stage.

I'm sorry to hear about the accident Simon. I watched the video last night. Did the car get loose and hit a tree, which turned you into the next tree? I see a small brush dent on the mid part of the passenger side and that's the only that made sense barring a rut, as your line looked good. - AB

My brother said this one did not hurt.

He learned his lesson taking the big BMW GS Adventure when he has a nice Kawasaki in the garage all set up for rally.

After getting all the bolt on stuff off Simon's car, they let me sneak a peak and it is not bad damamged at all.

He is my younger brother. He told me Sunday that his left knee was the size of a grapefruit, that he could barely stand on the left ankle and he might have a cracked rib or two. David said the only way to keep the 600# plus bike from getting stuck was to ride fast. That led to what he called the most violet crashes he has ever had.

He DNF'd due to mechanical issues.

He and his buddies loved it though and will be doing more of it. I was suppose to go for support, but had to dedicate some time on getting my car ready for the upcoming race season.

We got a donor car from which the nose, hood, passenger door and right rear quater panel was transplanted. We should get the car back from the frame shop on Wednesday. I'll post more pics then but here are the cars prepped for surgery...

I wondered if you guys were going to be able to save the original car, but with everything pulled away (driveway picture) it doesn't look too wicked bad.

I'm trying to convince a group of lemons/chump guys to build a old POS audi in next years sandblast. After watching your in car footage about 40 times I believe the Rally hook MAY be sunk to the barb... It looks like too much fun......

Thanks keeping us up to date on your rebuild. Its a good thing for me to see, cause these things do happen... I suppose rebuilding is part of this "sports car" hobby.
