"Quicksand" lived up to it's name. It was fast, it was sandy, and if you stopped you were stuck or have to dig out.

Thanks everyone for coming out and helping make this a fun day.
BTW: I didn't really get a chance to share, but today was Laura and my 28th wedding anniversary. What a great way to celebrate... cars, dirt, driving fast, Red Bull girls, 1st place trophies and I didn't get in trouble for participating. For those not so far along in your marriage, there is hope.

Congrats Chris!

Also congrats for being just one of 3 people who stayed "clean" (at least in terms of cone count!) through the entire day.

Who were the other two? :D

I had a great time and found the course challenging. There were a couple of spots where you had to be exactly in the right place. For example: In the afternoon we had to put our left tires just on the grass of the three bumps in the back sweeper. Too far to the left and we bounced out of control. Too far to the right and we were in deep dirt.

Thanks to all who made it happen. I had fun.

Here's the photos from my shift shooting the 4WD group. There's some fantastic flying dirt shots.

Some great photos in there Michael.
Certainly some very dramatic shots at the morning finish curve. Sorry I didn't make it to that spot while I was shooting photos.

It was a great event half-way through when I was ahead of Kourosh :-) It went downhill after that, about the time I went off course and plowed through two cones.

big thanks to Chris and cheezburger for the photos. its good to have some dedicated photographers out there giving us a hand.

thanks also to Kelvin Allen for the use of his land, too.

Chris I think you did a pretty good job with the layout with what we had. That course is always challenging, and that damn keyhole, i swear ill get it right one of these days.

My last run of the afternoon was a good one IMO, The keyhole was very very slow for me that run, but I think everything else was damn near good and i still churned out a 53.8XX. im kicking myself for leaving it in second while in the keyhole. lol.

Congrats to dustin for the win, hopefully we can see more of you out there. we had around 25 participants (i think), we missed a few regulars, but hopefully that will pick up.

And congrats to pete as well for winning the SO4 class.

thanks to richard, marek, and les for helping in the bus with timing.

thanks to ray for bringing out the redbull girls.

thanks to kevin for not participating and giving me a change to finally get a trophy at his property. haha.

Chris, how about letting someone else win SU2 for a chance!?!?!?

We def. need a good turnout for OCS, so please spread the word. We dont want to end up cutting OCS out of our events list because we cant get enough people. but the good part is the dedicated ones are willing to spend a few bucks more to make it happen, thanks guys!

So prepare for June 6th. It will be very fun. Walter and Les will be co-chairing the event (with the help of Michael Jackson, who's bad!!!)

thanks again for everyone who came out.
sorry if i missed a few folks.

I think Kevin Allen and Mike Whitney need to put Dustin in his place.

I know Pete kicked our butts. We were getting a bit cocky and deserved it too. So, I'll make more mods and try to drive better. Les drives fast enough, he just needs to stop hitting SO MANY cones. Can we have a rule change so the cones after the finish don't count? That would help Les a lot.

Again, I appreciate all of you that made this happen. I loved the course too. It drove harder than it looked when you walked it.

We will try to do a good job at OCS in June.

I have some dirty plans, and I'll be back soon.

Focusing on the tarmac rally car at the moment.

Glad everybody had fun. I know I did, in spite of the dust. Great photos, cheezburger.

Were these the cone wall after the finish as well? If so, your an amateur taking out just 2, it takes skillz to take out 4 of them, you have to hit it just right.

Hey Walter,
Here is a suggestion to make your Laser faster. Some similar mods you made to The Dog
