Kieran and I will be there competing in the Focus. Looks like an interesting 2WD lineup: 3 Golves, 2 Foci, 2 Lancers and a Mazda so far.

Thank you, Jeremy, for the support you've generously given.

(And, yes, I've not forgotten about the tires.)

I'm currently planning on going. But we'll have to see as it gets closer.

Darn it, that conflicts with the club's HPDE event at VIR in February. I had been planning on going to the Rally, now will have to make do with attending the two day track event :-)

It's up to you, of course, but there will be 4 more THSCC track events next season, and countless other groups' track days. But this is the only performance rally within 200 miles of the Triangle in 2010, period. Just FYI.

Yeah, Rally WV (at Snowshoe, nice place), Rally TN in Nashville, then STPR in northern PA are the next 3 closest, I think.

Jeremy, we usually end up at the Econolodge, sometimes next door at the Days Inn.

What rally event is at Snowshoe, WV? Google only turns up motorcycle events for me. My in-laws have owned a condo there for decades and we go at least once a year. This summer the place was practically empty and the mountain roads were a blast in the MINI.

Rally WV (see above). Actually it's headquartered out of Elkin, about 50mi north, but it's still a pretty area. It was canceled last year for lack of entries, but hopefully it will be back for 2010.

I don't see a schedule for the weekend up on the volunteer section of the site (www.sandblastrally.com) yet, but Anders is on the ball and the website is a great source of info. The schedule in the supps shows volunteer registration as 11a - 4:30 and 5:30 - 8p on Friday the 5th, with the volunteer meeting from 8 - 9p. It's important to make it to the volunteer meeting so you know when and where to meet the next morning, and also so the stage captains know who are on their teams and we can make preliminary assignments.

If you have any other questions about working Sandblast, or getting into rally, please feel free to ask.
