Honda S2000 ?'s

The husband of one of my coworkers wants to join us on track. He has a '91 S2000. I presume the factory "roll bars" won't meet tech for our HPDEs. He says the OEM hardtop is approx $3000- ouch!!! So far, I've found bolt-in rollbars from Spoon Sports ($861), Cusco ($658), & Mugen ($1,100). Any advice or experience with any of these companies, or any other suggestions? It sounds to me like a custom bar by Chris Schimmel makes the most sense, but I think he's a bit leary of having to strip the interior to protect it from welding spatter, heat, etc. and paint it. Any advice appreciated.

I assume that if Marvin has the year (1991) correct, then we are not talking about the Honda S2000, but instead the Tiga S2000. The S2ki.com website won't be much help for answering questions about the Tiga.

Well if you read his message carefully and can understand who makes the parts that he's refering too, then you can figure out that the '91 is a typo and he's talking about a Honda s2000 and not a Tiga. Oh and BTW his message title says Honda S2000 :roll:

BTW do they make hard tops for Tigas?

Sorry guys, I'm a decade off. It's a 2001 Honda S2000.
