Anyone in the group had any experience at swapping out a clutch and flywheel on an e36? From what I have found out by talking to service companies and the forums, the bimmer flywheel is attached to the crank by a spring loaded rubber mount. Between my driving style and mileage, it's just about shot. I'm getting bad vibrations out of this beast to the point I don't feel comfortable driving it. The price to have this replaced is shocking.
Has anyone done this before? Would you be willing to help? I have a garage, but the best I can do is place the car on jack stands. If someone out there is brave enough to help, let me know. Otherwise I looks like it's going to the shop. I'll need to start in about 2 weeks, so if your interested, please call me at 919.602.3348
