this video was.. originally found in german. However, someone translated it into english. it is very good at explaining things about how it works.
If anyone wants to see it, here it is.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9iiiDcFH-IM

our truck i working on.. is a 1997 ford 4 door powerstroke 7.3l turbo.2wd
non intercooled but is turbo'ed. 215 hp at 3k rpm. and 300 pounds of torque at 1600 rpm. it pulls like a tractor. right now we have a leak at the water in fuel sensor. soon it will be fixed. look for it next season hauling our big black trailer again.

If you really want to geek out, get a copy of Bruce Turrentine's video on rotary principles and rebuilding. Not sure if the rotary really is the magic that fans want to claim, but I am fond of them. I've owned 4 of them: 79 RX-7 12A, a 93 RX-7 touring, a 93 RX-7 base and my current RX-8.

Yup. Bruce has treated many of us well in the rotary community. Last I talked with him was my rebuild for my former track car 2-3 years back in Fuquay-Varina.
