Does anyone have a vacuum that I can borrow to remove R134a? Or suggestions on how to do it legally myself.

Wrench on fitting, loosen fitting until you hear hissing.

No more 134a.

I don't think individuals have any legal requirement on the disposal of such pollutants, but I would call Al Gore to make sure. :lol:

That is why everybody went to 134a. It does not deplete the ozone layer like R-12 does.

Also Dupont's patent rights on R-12 have long run out.

R12 doesn't deplete the ozone layer. After EPA put the ban on R12 they quietly reversed their position on it and said it did not hurt the ozone layer. Of course by that time DuPont created r134. Follow the money.....
