My nephew's wife owns a '99 s70 volvo and is in need of a decent indy mechanic. I've heard about PA Smith. Can anyone validate this place? Any other recommendations? They're located near the airport, so I guess N Raleigh and Cary would be good for them.

I had a coil fail on my 1996 960 and took it to Craig at Carolina Import Works. He has always been more than reasonable for his work.

Rodney,

I've had good experiences with Reeve-Smith, http://www.reevesmithauto.com. Mark Lambdin owns the business now for the past 3 years after leaving Weaver Bros Volvo after 14 years as service manager. He's a great guy, and my experiences at his shop have all been good. I only take the Volvo there for somewhat major repairs (i.e. A/C evaporator core replacement, A/C compresser, etc), so they've done some serious work on our old 850R.

Chuck
