Effective September 1, 2008, KONI will be having a 10% price increase on all street automotive, road racing, drag, oval track parts and services and a similar increase of RV dampers. As everyone knows, KONIs are made in Holland the the US$ has taken a massive drop vs. the Euro in recent years (25% drop in the last 24 months, 50% drop in eight years). We have absorbed as much of the price increase as we can but the increase in steel, energy, and manpower when combined with the currency drop made it too much to take and we had to pass some of it on.

I know that there are some [people] who are close to or are considering making a KONI purchase or have service done soon so I got permission to give people a heads-up so as to not have a last minute surprise when they are ready to pull the trigger or will less be in a "I wish I'd known that" position. I wish it were not the case but it is what it is when the economy goes flat and US$ takes a dump. Don't be surprised to see something like this from other European companies, I know of several in a similar situation.
