Kieran is off down to Charlotte to help a friend swap the transmission on his friend's 93 Geo Storm in his friend's driveway.

There's another friend going to help too.

Their collective knowledge of this vehicle is zero.
Their library of shop manuals for this vehicle is zero.

Does anyone here have any experience with the Storm and might be willing to take questions by phone in case they run into trouble? If so, please PM me.

I know nothing . . . except when one of the Directors at work replaced the clutch in his son's Geo the transmission ended up locking up in 5th even though the cars passed a short test drive. Turns out there is some sort of non obviously lockout in the shifting assembly that requires careful attention when reassembling. This guy is a darn good shade tree mechanic and had the shop manual. However he had no transmission experience. He was able to find the problem after I coached him on transmission theory.
