Thinking it might be a good time to seafoam the Ranger's engine, anybody know of a local source for the stuff? Can I just get it at Autozone? I live in Cary/Apex area, so local to that is preferred, but I'll drive a bit if I have to.

Yep. If they don't have Seafoam, Berryman's B12 is basically the same and IIRC a little bit cheaper. Make sure to get the pour can not the spray can, as well as a length of rubber tubing that will fit on the intake vacuum inlet. I find that needlenose Vice Grips work best at modulating flow from the can.

I think I saw it here in G'ville at the Advance Auto. Surely if they stock it in G'ville they'd stock it in the RDU area.

OK... so this is new to me. What is seafoam besides the scummy bubbles at the beach?

I'm guessing it's a cleaner.

Advance Auto in Durham (at least the store at the corner of Roxboro and Denfield). They had it on the counter next to the register.

Makes a dandy dessert topping! :D

I have seen it at every AutoZone and Advance Auto I have ever been to in the Cary/Apex area. It's good stuff though and I treated the A4 a couple of months back with great results. Be careful when you cycle it through your intake though - 1. use a clear container and hose so you can gauge how much and how quickly it is being consumed 2. be prepared for a lot of smoke.
