Only the NAPA guy thunk it. NAPA guy's Full of Sh*t. It's gotta a market price thing. Machining time will be incrementally less on the rears because they are smaller. Less material to be removed in turning. Also, if he called the front rotors two-piece, he's wrong. The front's are cast in one piece. They are not two-piece construction. He probably never worked in a machining operation... :)

Ahhh!

Second question, I am not tracking this car, is regular ol brake fluid ok, or should I switch to something else? I am installing new lines as well, so the opportunity is there to completely flush the system and start with a different product.

A good middle of the road fluid is the vavoline Synth Dot 3. It has a boil temp almost as good as Moutol, and is a lot cheaper.

Yeah, Marty's right. For daily driving and autox all you need is the Valvoline synthetic.

switching to something like that will not hurt the master cylinder will it? It is more of just a flush and fill deal right?

Grab the kitchen turkey baster and suck the old crap out, fill with whatever reasonable DOT 3/4 stuff AZ carries, bleed through to all corners, and you'll be good to go. I've run the synthetic Valvoline in the Miata as long as I've owned it with zero issues, but would switch as need be to the next best thing AZ carries..... just about ANY fresh fluid will trump old fluid any day of the week, and we really don't see the temps needed for it to make a difference in AutoX or daily driving.

Actually, the Valvoline is compatible with standard Dot3, but I would bleed everything out and add the Valvoline as you go. Do each corner until it's clear, not yellow.

If you want a flush and forget, go to Pep Boyz and get the Castrol LMA. Low Moisture Absorbent. It's pretty much the set it and forget it of brake fluid if you're not bleeding regularly according to BITOG and others.

I couldn't find the Valvoline at Pep Boys but they had the Castrol, so I got some of that. Now I just need to smuggle out our turkey baster...
