Anyone have a timing light?

I had to replace the crank angle seal this evening. I marked it with a pencil and did my best to align everything back up, the car runs fine but I figured it would be a good idea to check the timing anyways just to be safe since I have read the Miata is pretty finicky on even small changes in timing.

From reading on Miata.net it sounds like 12* BTDC is the magic number.

I can supply a cold 12 pack for some help :D

good luck with that...from what i remember, using a timing light with a miata is a PITA. maybe the 1.6 is different though.

:?:

It takes less than five minutes, and that includes finding your tools.

I've got one. It's near NC-54 and NC-55. You are welcome to play with it.

The PITA is getting at the crank position sensor nuts/bolts.... other than that it's pretty simple.

I swapped out the CAS O ring after work yesterday, took about 30 minutes or so. I nicely angled 12mm fits right in there :D
